SAN BARONTO AND VINCI
From Lamporecchio, after a 'climbing about 7 km on the road that crosses the Montalbano, one arrives at S. Baronto small but popular tourist destination where you can spend away from traffic, smog and noise, a pleasant holiday at 'sign of peace and rest, surrounded by a beautiful natural setting rich in greenery, with the woods yet come to surround the 'village.
Located 349 meters high above sea level San Baronto historically has grown as around the church, which was a monastery until the eighteenth century, and which therefore form the central core, the pole d 'attraction community.
Being placed along the 'important route of Montalbano, beyond which, downhill, you descend towards the plain of Pistoia and Prato, San Baronto really is a terrace from which you can dominate much of the surrounding plain.
